Charles, at long last I have found a picture or two of our home addressed 205 W. S. St., Grayville, which I believe was next door to yours. We have fond memories of our childhood years in Grayville (1957-64). I believe your family had already moved on when we moved to town. Would still enjoy meeting you if you decided to visit the old home town someday. |

I really savored this surf around your web site that I learned was incredibly well put together and displayed, We will certainly be calling back routinely to see how it's developing as well as perhaps offer some supplementary reviews if that may help. We have only just come back from my annual vacation in Spain, we were touring Cabo Roig, a favourite of mine, and needed to be cheered up after getting the post-holiday blues, so locating your exceptional web site was truly the tonic that I wanted to cheer me up and get back in the swing of things. The holidays in Spain (and Cabo Roig in particular) never fails to gets the batteries recharged and help us get prepared for the coming year ahead, the challenge being that returning home makes us just a little miserable and jaded. Scouring the online world for some quite interesting internet sites is usually our resolution for that reason locating your web blog was certainly a great aid in getting over the Cabo Roig doldrums. It's typically a pleasure to locate a internet site that's clearly designed and nicely displayed, that I recognized yours to be in copious amounts and I am certain that it's fantastic for one to comprehend if somebody has liked their experience and also to realise that your time and effort has not been misused in developing it. Subsequently the next time we come home from Spain, I will recognise the preferred place to return for a reviver. Thank you again. |

My aunt lived in the corner house at the end of your block behind you. Plumah Dillon! Larry White and became good friends before they moved away. Where is he? |

Neat website Charles! You still have the same expression on your face as you did as a child! You must have always been a "thinker". |

I grew up at the corner of 2nd & south St. Just one block west of your residence. I have many fond memories of growing up in Grayvile. My family moved there in 1960 when I was 1 year old. Currently I am living in the house right next door to the south of where I was raised. My Grandfather Abner Carey used to have lots of old pictures of Grayville but they were destroyed by a fire. I have a few photos of my old house and probably some of your. I will post more later. |

My family has some history in your old home place in Grayville. My folks had it for several years, as a rental. My Mom gave it to my son before she died. He eventually sold it to the current owner, Dave and Donna Burrows. Good people and good friends. I was really surprised to recognize the house while I was looking at your pictures. |

Charles, nice pix and narrative. I didn't know, or at least had forgotten, that your family moved off to Illinois for those three years. And you weren't that far from the old Van Tuyl home places in that state. Thanks for sharing old stories of childhood concepts and peeing antics, etc. At least you should be given credit for trying to put out the fires of hell. Boy, those were the days, huh? Kids could get away with almost anything. At least, life wasn't boring. Your cuz, Gary |
