ROFLMAO! I LOVE your blog, and boy, can I relate! Worked in a retail drug store for nearly 11 years. Luckily the last 5 of those years were spent in UNopened stores, setting them up, or I might be up on manslaughter charges. For real. ;-)

yes i am a floral designer and i also deal with customers at times. mostly it's ok but you get your occasional a*hole. people who are a*holes in "real life", you can put them in their place, but in the store ya gotta play nice. smiling and nodding when you really want to scream at someone is not so fun

ah, never worked in retail. closest communication with those buying things was when i was a waitress and also when i was a 7-11 cashier about 11 years ago. ((shudder))

Seriously, I worked retail at a coffee mfg/wholesale/retail company as part of cross-training. Very slow place most of the time, so hours of fronting mdse. I try to say nice things to retail folks.
