Most interesting Bradt connection?

I\'ve been researching my United Empire Loyalist lineage as Lt. Colonel John Butler, husband to Catherine Bradt, is my 6th great-grandfather.

I visited Niagara-on-the-Lake in 2019, where the Butler/Bradt family removed to after leaving the Mohawk Valley (NY) after the American Revolution. I have a lot of photographs (Butler\'s homestead, Butler\'s Burial Ground, etc.) for any cousins interested.

What is your name?

Jason See

Bradt Ancestor(s), if applicable:

Arent Bradt & Albert

How did you find this website?

After searching the family name based on Ancestory

Where are you from?

My grandparents lived in Schenectady NY, I live in AZ now.

Most interesting Bradt connection?

I thought it was interesting to know that See was simplified from Van Der Zee (Of The Sea) since Storm was born on the ocean. That one event separated his own branch of the family.

I saw on a list of names that there were different percentages of names branching off from the tree. So I\'m here representing the 1% of the See family. My brother and I are at the end of the family tree line, I have 2 sons that will hopefully build from there. Keep up the great work on this page!

I had no idea that I am part of a family with such a wide network of enthusiasts. Since I’m not too far down the road, I might try to make a “reunion” in a few years. Thank you all for the info!

Growing up I was led to believe Brott was a German name but I cannot find any evidence that I am related to Morris Brott or any other German Brott and my research leads my to believe I am related to Arent Bradt of Schenectady. Nice website you have here and thank you for sharing such interesting history.

My Grandmother, Pauline Naomi Bradt was born in Tonawanda New York on July 18, 1896. Her father was Charles Bradt who was believed to have been born in Lincoln Ontario is August 1862. Not sure when they immigrated to Canada but it is interesting to see just how far back the family line goes on her side. Thanks for the information. I do have a question about membership, How do you accept payment from Canada?
