I cannot believe it ! Some years ago I said, \"Matt Monro had the most perfect & well-balanced voice\". And today I came across his website and the description of him as, \"The singer\'s singer\". Wow ! My ears aren\'t too shabby ! I love the great singers of the big orchestra days, but Mr Monro had a flawless voice.

So very honoured to find your website Michele. Was looking for an avenue to re-purchase some of your father\'s music. He is an amazing man.

Hello Michele, I\'m sure it\'s been said many times before, and no doubt many more times to come. I really and truly find my own inspiration in your dad\'s voice. His bearing and deliverance of all performances were on a monumental scale only second to none. You are an inspiration Michele......

Having reached the grand age of fifty, I still love Matt. My father loved him and it was not until I became a teenager (and studied music) that I realised he was the best male vocalist of the last century. He has not been surpassed in this century and I doubt he ever will be. I am a man, the timbre of such a perfect, un-laboured voice still makes me weep. Very few men can make another cry.
I saw a TV programme where a relative of Matt always moved his CDs to the front - I do this in record shops now - a sort of unforced education.

Matt
If you were living now no one could touch you. It is a blessing that someone is in the public eye and the recordings are now history, only a few are given that right and the rest of us sit back and say hey he/she was great. We will be listening to your voice in two hundred years time and still saying \"hey great voice\".
Thanks

Thank you Michele!! Have always loved Matt, and just went on a wild spending spree and bought the three CD Rarities Collection, The Alternate Monro, The Complete Singles Collection, The Singer\'s Singer and Live at the BBC. He is so unknown here it\'s NOT funny. I wanted to update some of the old 20 year old remasters I had from the old 3CD compilation set that I had. I thank you so deeply for the love you have and for what you are sharing with the world, your father\'s great talent. It makes my life easier every day, and I know it does give joy to so many others -- all I have to do is just read the reviews! God bless, Chip.

I first heard of Matt on Easy Listening radio in the mid-90s (I was in my early 20s, so I was a bit out of their target demographic, but that\'s another matter altogether). \"My Kind of Girl\" just captivated me and I had to hear more. I\'ve bought several of Matt\'s CDs over the years and play them all the time. A voice and a delivery like his doesn\'t come along very often. I\'m just sorry that I never had the opportunity to see him perform live.

I\'m currently in the middle of reading Matt\'s biography and it\'s a fun, interesting read.

Thanks for maintaining the website, and much continued luck to you and your family!

I recently did a gig in Dublin in a nursing home with backing tracks of all the great Matt Monro songs and the residents really enjoyed themselves, one lady came to me afterwards crying and said to me why do we not hear this beautiful music anymore on the radio. RIP Matt a true legend
