My grandfather served in WWII in the 25th infantry. He joined the Utah National Guard at the age of 16, and when Pearl Harbor was attacked he enlisted and was assigned to the 25th. His personal history is very light on details. He wrote briefly about Guadacanal, The Soloman Islands, and the liberation of the Phillipenes. I have researched the details of the campaigns and have found he,like so many veterans, didn't speak about combat. I am trying to get as many details about the movements of the 25th from landing on Guadacanal to Luzon (including taking Belete Pass). I thank you for your service!
