Well. It was good to find your log of Sam\'s trialing and training history. We just had an awful 3-day weekend : 4/4 NQ; 2/5 Q and 1/4 Q ( last run). So I am feeling a little discouraged because...... Wei-wei is a C level dog at home and this weekend was very distracted, sniffy, sulky in the weaves - had to be restarted on every one but then did them and I am just wondering - what the heck?? He does have a GREAT SLS!!! So important to me to read that others have trodden this path before me and persevered. Thank you!X |

Love this site. I have 5 fur babies: Beanie, Dottie, Dozer, Roo, and Daisy. Beanie is the oldest at 9 and Daisy the youngest at 6. Although all special needs in one way or another, up until last week we were blessed with healthy kids. This ordeal with Dozer has been quite the emotional roller coaster. Your page is a wonderful reminder that I am not alone!! |

LOVE LOVE LOVE looking at the pics!! I have over 400 crystal, glass, ceramic, wood, coal...you name it doxies. And 7 live ones. I adopt the \'unadoptables\'--have one with no penis (it was rotted off in a BAD house), a deaf one, one with one eye, and 3 in wheelcarts. I have a \'normal\' one, too. But ALWAYS room for one more!! LOL I try to find different items for my collection. It has taken over my living room, dining room, bedroom, walls, halls LOL!!!! thanks for sharing yours. |

Thank you for sharing so much information. I also have a doxie named Frankie. He is black, brown, and a touch of white on the chest. He gets lots of skin infections. My mom\'s poodle had imha. They were doing constant blood checks on him. Her vet said he lived longer than any other dog they had ever treated for for it. I cried while reading your story about Nancy. I liked thinking that all my pets I lost were saying much the same thing. I also have an older maltese. The neighbor died about 10 months ago and we took her dog. I also foster puppy mill rescues. that is how I got my Frankie. Good Luck to you and keep up the good work! Gwen |

Thank you so much for sharing this! I read Frankie's story and it seems so much like my own Dieter (severe pain, no paralysis) who is going in for surgery tomorrow. Has Frankie had any relapses since then? I wish you all well and I really appreciate you sharing the ordeals the little pups have been through. |

Our little Doxie "Kally" had surgery for a ruptured disc on New Years Day. We saw her yesterday at the VEC in downtown Toronto(Fantastic Facility) She was quiet ..as we expected she would be after such major surgery. The neurologist was pleased we got her in within 24 hours of her going down. Today she was very alert and really wanted to get down from my lap.It was hard to leave her and she wimpered as I put her back in her crate...so sad. We are hoping to take her home tomorrow, fingers crossed that she is ok and ready to come home to us! |

Glad to hear the Joey made a full recovery from the first surgery and is doing better after the next issue this year. My little one, Pumba, is 3 1/2 and never had any issues until 10/6/2011. She went from not feeling well and acting right to not being able to walk. We had surgery on 10/8/2011 and she came home on 10/10/2011. She is doing well, walking some but wobbly. We are restricted her activity and just let her walk some while going potty. Thanks for the encouraging words - it is nice to know that surgeries are successful and have support. Hope Joey continues to do well. |

Hello, I am so sorry to hear about Nancy. Our 8 year old dachshund, Biscuit, just passed away this Easter Sunday to IMHA, she came down with it on Good Friday. We had never heard of IMHA before, we had no clue how devastating it could be. I is bittersweet to know there are other out there affected the way we were by this horrible disease. Do you have a dogster account? If so, there is a terrific page, in honor of our pets lost to IMHA, and dedicated to finding a cure for this life taker. If your dont have a dogster account, it is very easy to create one. Here is the link to the site, http://www.dogster.com/family/343344, and here is the link to the IMHA research site, http://ecollage.weebly.com/index.html. I hope you get this and find it useful, the people on here are good people, and know what we have been through. God Bless you and your Nancy, I know her and Biscuit are running around together at the Bridge. Sincerely, Biscuit and the Murabito Family. |

It's stories like yours that encouraged me to get a second opinion, and this turned out to save my Charlie's life. He just had surgery, and now we have the crate rest ahead of us for recovery. Your story sounds quite similar to mine. Charlie is so active and is a little daredevil. He had a herniated disc repaired and has deep pain, so I am hopeful that he will have a full recovery! I'm overwhelmed by the support other doxie/dog/animal loves have given to us, and even help with the expensive vet bill has been all the blessing in the world. I knew I could not afford this, but I had faith that people that believe in this cause would help out. Thank you for your story! I'm glad your dog recovered so well! ~Hannah |

My Duchess got AIHA October 2007, Dr. Andrew Mills talked me out of putting her down. After one week in ICU and a blood transfusion, she was in the clear. Dr. Mills brought my Duchess back to me! That next spring she was sick again, this time her liver, not AIHA. I was then told by Dr. Mills that she may get this back and if so, he would not be able to save her and that her quality of life was more important. I am sad to say my Duchess's AIHA was back and yesterday I had to euthenize her. I never dreamed how hard that would be. I feel like my heart is truly broken! And I can't even think about loving another like I did my Duchess. Thank you for this beautiful website and memorial for your fur baby, it makes a nice venue for those of us who need to talk about our loss. I am sorry that you had to go through what so many of us have. |

Dr Robbins at Veterinary Specialty Center is AWESOME! He has saved my 9 year old Lab Sammy's life several times - she has had multiple problems - ie Osteosarcoma, Mast Cell tumors, and back problems. He recently did a laminectomy on her. He is the best! All the Docs there are very very good! |
