I’m currently in the market for a pre-owned luxury timepiece and found a seller on a marketplace offering a beautiful chronograph at a price that feels almost too good to be true.

The photos look absolutely stunning, but I have this nagging suspicion that the serial numbers or the condition of the bezel might have been digitally altered to hide scratches or imperfections.

Before I wire a large sum of money to a stranger, I want to be 100% sure that what I see is what I’ll actually get. I’m looking for a reliable edited image detector.
