If anyone is planning on visiting Turkey in the near future, Altinkum is ideally located for that cultural or relaxing summer holiday.
It is approximately 80 minutes drive from the local Bodrum airport and is rapidly becoming one of the most popular holiday resorts in Turkey for the British holidaymaker and investor.
With the average flights taking approx. 4 hours from all the major airports in the UK British people are realising Turkey as one of the top holiday destinations for buying holiday homes.

The area of Altinkum derives it’s name from the fact that in the Turkish language Altin means “Gold” and kum means “Sand” therefore the word Altinkum meaning Golden Sand.
During the summer season Altinkum sees a great increase of tourists visiting the area, with the guarantee of hot sunny days and a low price economy.
The Main Beach area is lined with an abundance of restaurants catering for all different nationalities including dishes of Chinese, Indian, English and of course Turkish food at very reasonable prices.
Altinkum is also renowned for it’s large number of shops selling a wide range of designer clothes, jewellery and leather goods at very low prices.
