thinking of you today Sophie on your 7th birthday. We've had a lovely day in Brecon visiting your tree and feeling you close. Thank you for making the sun shine. I hope you know how much we all love and miss you Sophie and always will. No birthday cake or party for us all today Sophie, just beautiful flowers and special memories... we all love you Sophs xxx

Just wanted to say that your story is truly beautiful, and what a blessing it is for both your family and Sophie to have had that time together to create such special memories. Your beautiful baby is in a better place now, with no pain, and one day you will be together again to hold her in your arms...

My daughter, Sadie Elizabeth was born 30/12/09 & diagnosed with severe T18. She is home with us now and appears pink and healthy at the moment. So much of what you have written about your beautiful daughter, Sophie rang very clear to me and although I have broken my heart reading your website, I have found some comfort in knowing I am not alone.

I am so sorry to hear that you lost Sophie. Sadie is 12 weeks old tomorrow and whilst there is great joy and pride we feel in her reaching an age that we were told would not happen, we (my husband and I) feel terrified that we could lose Sadie any time.

I know that we will never be the same again and that there is a terrible time to come and I think that's why I have been searching for information tonight.

I hope you have found peace and hope so much that when we inevitably lose our beautiful baby girl, that we will some day find peace too.

Thank you for sharing the story of Sophie's life. It is a beautiful way of sharing some of your memories.

Love and best wishes
Samara Collins

My precious, perfect princess
What was your life but a bless
A smile so sweet,
Such soft little feet
Why did you have to go

I wonder why
I gaze at the sky
I want u here
Yet you are far from near

Why did you have to go
Why did you leave
I love you so
I never stopped to grieve

A weltered shadow
A little sparrow
Unaware of all this sorrow
Your life was all but borrowed

I wonder why
I gaze at the sky
I love you
And will never say goodbye

Thank you for your story about your daughter. I am 13 weeks pregnant with a baby girl diagnosed with Trisomy 18. We will not be terminating the pregnancy. The more I read, the more at peace I feel about our decision. Thank you again for documenting your story.

I wanted to let you know I am thinking of Sophie Elizabeth and her family on her angel day. I just looked at Sophie's photos...what a beautiful little girl! I am so sad to hear that she did not receive medical treatment for her heart. I am facing the same issues for my little girl, Nalah, who has T18 too. I wanted to let you know I am thinking of you as you remember Sophie on her angel day,

Take Care,

Marianne

Put her name on the cards every last one so that everyone knows she means so much to your family. Even from Heaven she is still a part of your family, don't let anyone forget it. I am sending a copy of Sophie's story to my best friend who has just this past week given birth to the most wonderful little boy who happens to have Edwards syndrome as well, I hope it makes her feel as hopeful, touched and enlightened as it did me. Thank you for sharing this with us all.
