PVMSC training Bali, Indonesia, 11-14 September 2017

The PVMSC training will provide participants with knowledge and hands-on skills in conducting Participatory Monitoring and Evaluation (PM&E) using Participatory Video and Most Significant Change (PVMSC).

Training Objectives
This training will equip participants with knowledge and hands-on skills, including:

participatory analysis of MSC storiesLearning to integrate PVMSC in an M&E system

Topics addressed in the training include the concepts and theory of Participatory M&E, MSC theory, basic skills in handling a video camera and sound equipment, preparing the equipment for a film shoot, the practical steps for implementing PVMSC, facilitation in the selection and screening of the produced film, and integrating PVMSC in an M&E framework.

By the end of the training, participants will be able to produce a short movie of a significant change story

This training is organised for M&E practitioners, programmecoordinators/managers, researchers, development workers, facilitators, participatory video practitioners and those curious and interested to learn about applying participatory techniques to evaluate social change projects and programmes.

Learning Methodology

The PVMSC training is a combination of theory and practice to provide participants with knowledge on PM&E and hands-on technical skills and knowledge to use a combination of PV and MSC (PVMSC).
