The Broken Kingdoms MMO

Hi everyone

A quick update today to announce that The Broken Kingdoms will go live on June 24th with a special preview launching the week before. This special preview, or beta, will grant you access to the game's central hub-world of Ardara village and a special mini-quest has been developed for the preview. I look forward to meeting you all online from the 17th onwards,

Darren

Re: The Broken Kingdoms MMO

Well, I finished the little mini-quest after being intrigued by the premise of this "MMO" for the past few days, and I honestly have to say that I'm a bit disappointed. I can already tell just from that snippet, that maybe you should recruit a proofreader to check your descriptions and dialogue; typoes such as "artefact" and "monoleth" are rather glaring in what amounts to a graphical Zork game.

Also, perhaps you could somehow disable the Tab key's function of locating hyperlinks? That was a problem with Crimson Room, too, and it takes out some of the challenge. Still, an A for effort, and this -is- just a "beta".

Hey Sabrewing

Thanks so much for taking the time leave us feedback. The spelling was an oversight and the issue has been sorted although some of the problems are due to differences in US and UK English - Artefact is indeed the correct spelling for the word here in the UK whereas Artifact is the American spelling :)

Again, thanks for taking time to give us your feedback :)

Re: The Broken Kingdoms MMO

I hope u`ll change the colours in the live game.
I played for 2 minutes the demo. I can`t view the links and the text, the text (info text from the left) is black and the backgground grey ! It`s hard 2 play.
I`m waiting the live version, hopefully i`ll make a review for the game.

Hey B3at

Sounds like you are using Firefox to try and play. Unfortunatly Firefox is the one browser The Broken Kingdoms does not (yet) support. we recommend Internet Explorer or the Opera Browser for the best results. The control pannel does not show up in Firefox, hence the poor contrasts you saw :(

I had problems actually seeing what was in some of the pictures. I think your GFX guy has the brightness on his screen way too bright. The shadows are unnaturally dimming. Poking the links in the dark is not fun.
