Wong Wai Sum's father is a movie choregrapher and filmed about 1 hunred movie from the 50s to 90s. Wong himself once worked in ATV and switched to TVB in 1991 and is now a screenwriter, hoping to reflect real cases in the society. He once had roles in series like "Secret of the Heart" and "Files of Justice V".

Wong had many scenes with Bobby & Michael: "They played me sometimes, making me kept NG-ing and had to look after their emotions. They left after work. When filming shots of me, I act facing no real people but air."

Although being played by the two, Wong still praised them: "They're very skilled. They handle every character very well. Working with them is enjoyable." Wong and Michael become good friends after working many times together. "A Pillowcase of Mystery 2," which is Wong's recent work with Bobby, is so far Wong's most satisfying work.
