(星島日報 報道)宣萱 （Jessica）一向愛心爆棚，92年畢業返港，加入TVB拍劇，在清水灣 附近收養第1隻流浪狗開始，最高峰時期共收養了6隻之多！她堅持的首選原則，是沒機會被人收養的狗、樣子愈醜的，她愈想帶回家。

　　現時Jessica的家中，一共收養了5隻流浪狗，分別為1仔4女，屬不同品種，年齡由歲半至15歲半。

　　雖然仔仔「Fatty」已是15歲半的「阿伯」，但只要帶牠出街，必定是最受歡迎的，因為Fatty體形大隻又壯健，眼、耳及鼻都是圓碌碌，相當可愛，很多人都讚這位阿伯依然型到爆。Fatty在家中是典型大佬，由於被閹多年，所以對4隻狗女完全無興趣。有次Jessica帶一隻走失了的狼狗回家，Fatty擔心自己的地頭會被霸佔，一氣之下竟然嬲到發癲，這就是典型的動物世界。

　　不會叫愛犬跳火圈

　　Jessica說：「狗都會呷醋，年紀大，沒體能玩，只能站著，為了不想兩隻老狗難受，我每次入門口，都會先照顧兩隻老狗，之後才與其牠狗狗玩。最細的是兩姊妹（Scooby及Doo Doo），佢口地好活躍，會跑來跑去，加上狗女又嗲又黐身，我鍾意！」Jessica身邊有不少朋友養狗，所以很多時都會安排「狗聚會」，她更透露，原來 Scooby與唐寧的愛犬一見鍾情，每次見到這位「白馬王子」，就會好嬌嗲，Jessica笑牠：「真丟臉！」

　　對於養狗心得，Jessica坦言從來不會做表面工夫，就是不會買狗仔衫及鞋，更不會要求愛犬做雜技團，她笑笑口說：「唐狗穿上狗仔衫，實在太古怪了，而且收養流浪狗是希望提供一個安樂窩給牠們，最幸福的生活，莫過於食、瞓及玩，看人家的狗表演，當然無問題，但我就不會訓練自己的狗跳火圈。」

Jessica Hsuan has always been an animal lover. Ever since she joined TVB after graduation in '92, she took in her first stray dog near Clearwater Bay. She even kept as many as six at one time. She tends to take in those who are ugly and have no chance of being adopted.

Right now, she has five dogs in her home, a male and four females. They're all different breeds and they range from one and a half to fifteen and a half years old.

Even though the male dog "Fatty" is already a fifteen and a half year old "old man", he's always the popular one when she brings him out. That's because Fatty is a big, burly dog with cute round eyes, ears, and nose. Many people commented that despite his age, he is still cute as a button. At home, Fatty is the dominant dog. Because he was neutered years ago, he takes no interest in the other four females. Once, when Jessica brought home a lost German Shepherd, Fatty became so territorial, he went ballistic. Typical animal behavior.

Will not let her dogs jump through fire hoops

Jessica says."Dogs get jealous too. When they get older, they aren't as energetic when it comes to play and can only stand around. In order not to make the two older dogs feel left out, every time I come in the door, I will tend to them first, and then play with the other dogs. The youngest ones are the two sisters Scooby and Doo Doo. They're very active and run around a lot. And being girls, they are more lovey dovey and tend to stick around me a lot. I like it! Many of Jessica's friends are dog owners too, so they often organize dog functions together. She even reveals that Scooby and Leila Tong's dog fell in love with each other at first sight, so everytime Scooby sees her "prince charming," she would become very coy. "Embarassing!" she says.

As for her principles of owning a dog, Jessica says she has never put emphasis on appearance, i.e. things like doggie outfits and shoes. And she will not make them perform circus tricks. She jokingly says,"It's too weird to make a Chinese dog wear doggie costumes. Moreover, the purpose of adopting stray dogs is to give them a safe home. There is no better life than for them to be able to eat, sleep, and play. I have no problem watching other dogs perform, but I will not train my own dogs to jump through flaming hoops.
