Positively Timmins could be a wonderful tool in presenting our community to the rest of the world. Taking pride in and respecting our diversity is a very good start. Rather than selfishly keeping it to ourselves, we could be sharing our uniqueness and encouraging new business, families, recreational and cultural attractions to select Timmins as their new location.

You are absolutely right and that is why Positively Timmins will endeavor to do exactly what you suggest and more. Often times we take the things that make Timmins unique and different, for granted. Those are more often then not the things that make us the envy of many other North American jurisdictions. The City of Timmins, like all other municipal jurisdictions on planet earth has many ongoing challenges. These are not insurmountable and will only make us a stronger city in the end. As residents we should be proud of our past and excited about the bright future that lies ahead. We should all be ambassadors to the city we call home. We should be quick to promote our vibrant economy, the recreational opportunities, the quality of life that we enjoy, the many first class tourism ammenities including the great outdoors all year round, and of course the great people that make Timmins what it is. After all, many outsiders including professionals, tourist and possible investors are potentially looking at Timmins for their future plans. We cant afford to sit idle. We need to stand proud and create the good first impressions that will serve us well into the future. We need to represent our City in the best possible light by accentuating the positives.
To conclude, I've travelled to many domestic and international destinations over the years and can say with 100% certainty, that the grass is no greener elsewhere. Timmins, like other Northern communities, boasts of fresh air and first class cities. This alone is enought to make us the envy of many who are by far, less fortunate. Your positive comments are refreshing to read and certainly feel like a breath of fresh air.
