Just had a thought maybe shouldn't have selected Seven of Diamonds as it is a maiden therefor there is no actual winning ratings ?
Seven of Diamonds - This is a dodgy selection, never back a maiden that has run several times and has posted a regressive speed lto as its now shown its level. its a bad race though that it can win but there 1 or 2 less exposed types here and its the sort of race to throw up a shock result and forget the weight it carried lto as this is not a handicap. At the price is bad value maybe worth the risk @ 16/1
Little Edward in my opinion is also very risky @ 9/4 as there several in this that can win at the weights. Trainers can have hidden adgendas for running horses in claimers and the speeds tell you it isnt nailed on.
Thank you sir, does the age of the horse help/hinder its chance ie Little Edward is 12 yrs old all the others are younger?
With your advice I now will have No Bet
Regards Roedhelm
No age isnt the issue but the older they are the more miles on the clock and the harder it is for the horse to remain race sound. There are a few with speed in the race and tacticts could play a big role but the race will proberbly be a truley run one.
Find some small field handicaps today and go through them , if anything takes your eye mark it , watch the race and see if you were right its the only way to learn.
There will be plenty of turf maidens coming up and group / listed races and its these races where the speeds come into their own.
