Another good morning of busting up the yellowmouths with Lenneth "Flap" Trosclair , his wife Alicia and son Brandon. We headed south from the "Lakehouse" at 5 am and headed south for the gulf. We found 2-3 footers as the seas were not calm as forecast. No surprise and no problem as the big 26 ft Pathfinder cut right through the chop. At our first stop we found clean water and pretty rough seas. It was tough to move around so we stayed put picking at 18-21 inch trout for a couple hours. The fish were just too nice to move. Glow/chartreuse Bayou Chubs worked best. Eventually after picking up 30 fish the bite played out so we made another move as the seas calmed down around mid morning. At our second stop it was on fire with "Flap" putting on a clinic of trout catching 101!! He had the yellowmouths coming into the boat every cast as he quickly caught another 20-25 nice trout. Soon after a very strong rushing rip tide came through and shut down the
bite. We called it a day and headed north back to the camp. Great folks to fish with and a very nice box of trout for their efforts in rough conditions. Good luck fishing.
