Great Trout Bite!

6/13/16...We got an early start from the 'Lakehouse' with Jerald Jernigan and crew heading south for Day 2 . Our plan was to bust up the yellowmouths like the previous day as all 3 boats were loaded up with live shrimp. However, the wind was up and it wasn't nearly as calm in the gulf as the previous day. We had very little tide movement but everyone was steadily picking up fish as the live shrimp was doing the job for us. We could not buy a bite on plastic except for a few dinky white trout no matter which color we tried. Around mid morning we headed north to try our luck on the bull reds but with zero tide movement our effort was futile. We finished up with a 3 boat total of 132 trout along with a few reds. I had to come in early for a doctors appointment but Capts Tommy & Brady said their crew enjoyed catching a bunch of blackdrum in the pass as the reds didn't bite. Good luck fishing.Capt Bill Lake 985-637-3712 - See more at:
