Cheryl Lynn

Sean,

Just to add to the Cheryl Lynn biography, there were actually 2 single releases from "Whatever It Takes". The title track was issued as the second single and there was a music video to promote it.

Also, "Good Time" was only issued in Japan, not in Europe.

Re: Re: Cheryl Lynn

It would be nice if you could add some of the more recent highlights of Cheryl's career. For example, her explosive appearance on ABC's Disco Ball, which aired nationwide back in Jan of 03' and where she proved that she still has a set of lungs and can still bring audiences to their feet with her classic hit "Got To Be Real." Her contribution to the Sharktale soundtrack back in Sept of 04' with the bouncey single "Sweet Kind Of Life" which was co-produced and co-written by old aquintances Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis. And how she still does the occasional gig by performing at various charity concerts in her home town of Los Angeles with artist like The Emotions and others.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Cheryl Lynn

Great job SD. Thanks. I have always enjoyed your biography on Cheryl because of how you pay attention to detail and give Cheryl's fans a little something more then the usual biography on Ms. Lynn, and believe me, as a huge fan, I have searched every single site on any info related to Cheryl and most are just the same repeated old stuff about this talented woman who was and is so much more then just "Got To Be Real." And now, thanks to the updated info you added, your biography is that much more spicey and sweet.
I will certainly encourage other sites as well as fans to check out the Soul Legends site for the very latest on Cheryl and other artist. Thanks again, SD, and please keep up the good work. And yes I will continue to update you on the latest on Ms. Lynn as soon as it becomes available to me.

Re: Cheryl Lynn

To all my fans, thank you for being so supportive. It is so nice to see and feel that your work is appreciated. I am writing to all of you at the beginning of this year to say I am beginning to work on a special project this year. I am writing new songs now and looking forward to sharing Cheryl Lynn of today. I am at the Namm show, now and a friend showed me what people were saying about me on this website. It made me smile. Thanks again to all of you and I hope to add more things to my career in 2007.

Re: Cheryl Lynn

HI CHERYL!!!! I am so excited that you found out about this site and your loyal fans!!!! I don't know if you remember me, but I met you when you did one of your first concerts at the Copa in NYC. Margo had been keeping me informed about you and I was always bothering Eric Kronfeld about you!! She invited me to the concert (I live in Buffalo, NY), and I ended up meeting her and her husband and sat at thier table!! I came backstage and took photos with you ( which I would love to email to you )!!! I guess Yahoo shut down my website I created about you. I am upset about that. I even spoke on the phone with you a later time when I was staying at Mario's house ( who I also met at the concert). You were recording with Luther and said that you would invite me to the studio but he doesn't like that! I am your #1 fan Cheryl, and always will be!! I even started an online fan club for you. It has just a few members, but what we lack in volume we make up in our sincere love and respect for you!!! I know that Mal,Dev, and James will be equally THRILLED to know that you are working on a new project!!! I am for sure!!! PLEASE stay in touch Cheryl, and come on back because the music world needs ya!!! WE need ya!!! GOD BLESS YOU!!!!

Re: Cheryl Lynn Visits 'Soul Legends'

Hi Vernon
I replied to Ms.Lynn via E-mail, and you know that I was happy to see her post the other day. It's important that she knows that we're HERE, and even though major talent like hers is failed to be promoted by the industry, I'll do my best to give her her props. Can't wait for additional details on her project, and I asked her to keep us posted. We may see more on this board from Cheryl in very the near future. This is just what we need here, and I'm excited for everyone.
Peace, SD

Re: Cheryl Lynn

Hi Sean and Kit. Actually, there were 3 singles released from "Whatever It Takes". "Upset" was the 3rd single. I was working at Wherehouse music store and I remember putting the cassette single on the shelf. I was surpised that Virgin Records was still working the project. I was working at Towers a year earlier when the project came out.
