For those who missed it, Last night DW and Sean Lei Wrestled for an 60 minutes in an iron man match and they did not dissapoint. It could possibly be the best match I have ever seen on the indys. I want to thank both of you guys for the great performance you guys gave all the fans last night.

...those that missed it ...suck...

...i am now ready to go to my grave knowing that i was witness to THE match that i have wanted to watch...
...Rasslin is real...
...proof was available for an hour last evening...info is vetted...there was a crowd ...

...them boys worked...

...i(and it's not about me )have seen a work or three...have seen top,rookie,indy vet,slum...

"...i declare without reservation that i have never witnessed a better indy singles match in my 27+ years in the business..."

...ric and steamboat were overflown...the crowd at Ahoskie saw a top dollar work for half the price...
...it was clear a few weeks ago that the fellas intended to dance...i had hopes...who knew it would go that strong ...(Louis did )...

...i can't do the props properly...you had to see it...the blow by blow blurred after 20 or so...mesmerized is where i went ...
...perfection personified will enlighten the brainy...tech at its best took care of me ...new and old blended with class kept all eyes on the ring for 60 minutes with no exceptions...i have witnesses ...

...my excitement over this match goes beyond the work...i saw a meeting of the best of two schools/clicks and saw it work...

...Sean Lei...Damian Wayne..are the epitome of what Rasslin is...they are the future...they just worked the INDY Singles Match Of The Year 2006...

...they may have fucked up and done it in January and left room for a sporty couple, but i doubt it...

...props seem weak...
...i give homage ...

...just think (we all get to say that we knew them back in the Day...Jan.21,06)...another day to remember ...

...try the veal...
...i'll be here all night ...

Re: Iron Man Match

Somethings you aren't sure of until you are in there. I still consider myself green as grass when it comes to being "in" the wrestling business. I was scared Saturday night. Wanted to be sure I stayed out of the way of the action. But then I looked across, saw the guy that trained me. Saw the little twinkle in his eye. Knew immediately everything would be fine. Saw Damien Wayen. Saw relaxation on his face. Knew this was going to be shit hot. Let me be honest. There were about four times last night, that I had to bite my lip to keep from "marking" out. No pun intended Mark. Any smark on this board that thinks they have it figured out are dead wrong. I heard some of the sickest sounding punches and headbutts Saturday night. Thank you to both of you for putting on a hell of a match. Thank you both for letting me be a part of it. Thank you both for taking me back 20 years to when I was 10 and just knew they were hammering the shit out of each other. Mad RESPECT!

Re: Iron Man Match

Hell Yea...Now THAT is what wrestling needs more of...Although I'm not sure the guys could take many beatings like that...I'm sure in many states there are laws against abuse like we saw Saturday night...This match also proves another point...All these guys running around, hiding behind the keyboard, talking about how pro wrestling is fake should have seen that match...Hell forget the rest of the match, there was one time I think Sean Lei forgot who he was and went Finlay on Wayne's ass with headbutts...After the show though he was paying the price as his forehead all the way to the crown of his head was nothing but one solid bruise...It may only be January but I have no damn idea how ANYBODY whether it be up top, Mexico, Japan, Europe, or the Indies is gonna top that match...If you didn't like that match you might want to question if you are a true wrestling fan...And THAT is fact...

Re: Iron Man Match

I felt I should write some comments on the match I witnessed on Saturday night, but I suddenly was overcome with anxiety. Do I have the correct words to use that would even come close to a fit discription?

.....I'm drawing a blank....

Amazing? Exciting? Fantastic? No, none of these are good enough. I think the best thing to say was that I witnessed two athletes in the ring that brought PERFECTION to their craft.

Personally for me it was an emotional rollercoaster. I was worried that the smaller kids in the crowd would get bored with a 60 minute match, until I noticed that a group of kids stood and followed the action around the ring for the entire match. I hoped the whole "Respect" angle would get over, then I saw the crowd split in half. Then came the panic. I saw hard punches, disturbing head butts, blood pouring down faces, and a top rope german suplex that almost gave me a heart attack.

Being a worker and engaged to Sean, I know the dangers that are always there. I hope every "good luck kiss" I give him before a match has a little extra support. I pray God keeps his hands on him and his opponent.

....ok ok...I admit it. I marked out last night. And I know Rick O'Brien has taped evidence. So what! I was pulled back to my childhood and it felt good.

Thank you DW for being in this match with him. Thank you for your work and safety.

Yea...it's only Jan. '06....Match of the Year? NO DOUBT ABOUT IT!

Re: Iron Man Match

We've already posted our writeup of the whole show on AirplaneSpin.com, which I know some of you have read, but that match was phenomenal, and definitely worth the drive for that match alone. It was great how for 60 minutes, I was thoroughly entertained and didn't lose interest in the match once. Michaels/Hart at Wrestlemania XII didn't even accomplish that for me, but Wayne/Lei did. The crowd was also on fire for the entire match (Marky Lei mimicing out 2s was entertaining), which shows that we weren't the only ones who went away happy. Great debut show for SPW, this match will definitely help put them on the map.

Re: Iron Man Match

I also have to give the boys thier due for one hell of a match. It was very good and I have not seen a match like that in quite some time. I love those type of matches and I hope to see more of those in SPW, VCW, NWA VA in the future. Sean and Damien set the standard the other night and went all out to satisfy and they did not disapoint by no means.
Thanks,
Robert Royal
