Thanks for your help Trevor, regarding where to get a copy of Mike Hart bleeds. As you suggested i managed to pick up a very cheap cd of Mike's first two albums from Duffelbag in the States.

It was there waiting for me yesterday when i arrived home from work and the track Almost Liverpool 8 sounds as good as it did when i first heard it on John Peels show all those years ago. There's quite a few other great tracks on the album and i'm looking forward to listening to it lots more over the course of this weekend.
