Visit to sunshine coast in Feb 13

Help - We are visiting Oz in Feb 13 having 1 week in Sydney, 1 week in Melbourne and flying to Whitsundays (Airlie Beach) for 4 nights. From there we have a week to fill - do we visit Cairns (heavy rainfall in the wet season is putting us off) or head to Hervey Bay and Fraser Island or visit Byron Bay and for how many nights. Too many choices!
