Re: Re: Red Barbeau

Thanks Don

Really appreciate all your hard work and dedication.

btw: I've hitched up with Chuck Fausel and his Vintage Racing group. The sad part is they are all about ready to disband due to health and creeping old age.
Who would think something like this exists out in the date groves of Indio.

Well the other day one of the guys said I've got to introduce you to another of your neighbors out here.
Turns out to Jim McGee (of the Norwood Arena Cut Down 1958 #0 car driven by Gavin Couper shown in our drivers section)
Jim left for Indy as a youngster and turned into a legendary Indycar mechanic and crew chief.
Will look forward to meeting him soon.

Re: Red Barbeau

I was Roy Devereaux's son-in-law and mechanic on the L, L-1,and 25 at the time Red drove at Seekonk, Norwood, Thompson, and Westboro. He had a teammate who is also a fantastic driver Jack Malone. Red later went on to drive full time at Seekonk for Roy's cousin, when Roy decided to run full time NASCAR Mods in New England with Jack Malone as the Pilot.
