George A. Gibson, age 89, of Stoughton passed away on April 20th after a period of failing health. He was the father of the Gibson brothers who owned the #427 Modifieds that ran at Norwood Arena.

He is survived by his two sons, George M. Gibson and his wife Rose of Stoughton and William J. “Buddy” Gibson and his wife Barbara of Fairhaven.

He was the brother of Edna Phillips of Stoughton and the late Robert Gibson, Joseph Gibson, Katherine Lowell, Ann Yarush and Dorothy Antinirelli. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
