Bart Kent

Thanks for including Bart Kent in your Norwood Arena Drivers section, a very representative person who helped make Norwood Arena and the early years such a great experience.

I haven't had any contact with Bart since 1961, but he was a great friend to me as a teenager and I was proud to be involved with him and Johnny La Pann with our humble #88 Hobby Car in 1960 - we garaged it at his sister's, across the street from me in Roslindale and occasionally in my garage.
We only ran a handful of events and then the next year
I left for the Navy and eventually settled in CA - never returned to Boston until 1990 for a vacation.
Looks like Bart returned to Norwood with the #23

Bart,
If your out there would you drop me a line?

btw: Bart's article mentions the cars roll bars and the liberties taken in their construction in the early years - so true - Reino Tulonen's famous #32 cut down (also shown in this site) had roll bars constructed from early Chevrolet drive shafts (probably stronger than sewer pipe or street signs)
