Remembering driver Pete DesJardins

Peter Henry DesJardins, 77

WELLS - Peter Henry DesJardins, 77, of Wells, formerly of Wrentham, Mass., died Sept. 19, 2018.

Peter was born May 7, 1941, in Framingham, Mass., a son of Anthony and Irene (Beaudoin) DesJardins. He graduated from Sacred Heart High School in Newton Centre, Mass. and furthered his education at the University of Alabama. Peter served his country in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War. On April 11, 1971, he married Carol Joan Snelling.

Peter loved building and racing cars, and was a member of the South Shore Street Rods. That enjoyment transformed into a career as a Regional Parts and Service Manager for Nissan Motor Corporation. Peter also enjoyed sports, music and reading. Most importantly, he loved his family.

In addition to his parents, Peter was predeceased by his brother, Wayne DesJardins.
Peter is lovingly remembered by his wife, Carol; his daughter, Amy Stein and her husband Paul of Mooresville, NC; his son Gregg DesJardins of Deerfield, N.H.; his brothers, Alan DesJardins and his wife Linda, and David DesJardins and his wife Marie, all of Wells; his grandsons, Preston and Parker; and extended family.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2018, at Holy Spirit Parish, St. Mary's Church, 236 Eldridge Rd., Wells. A private committal will be held at a later date at Woodbrook Cemetery in Woburn, Mass.
