Thanks to the 700+ people that filled the Norwood Theater last night for the premier of the documentary “Norwood Arena – The Movie.” Not only was it fun to hang around with old friends, new friends were made as people discovered the long gone track.
Several driver’s on hand and in the movie added to the event. It was exciting to watch the audience as the televised segment of the closing laps of the 1970 Daytona 500 played with the theater erupting in cheers, as if the race was happening live, as Pete Hamilton took the win. Pete was there and signing autograph after autograph after the movie.
There is an encore showing of the documentary on Sunday, September 28, 2014 at the Norwood Theater and tickets are selling fast! It is a don’t miss event for every Norwood Arena fan!
