Barton "Bart" Kent, Sr., 68, of Carlisle Road, Canajoharie, NY, passed away Thursday afternoon, April 14, 2011, at Bassett Healthcare in Cooperstown, NY. Born in Natick, MA, on May 20, 1942, he was the son of the late John H. and Elizabeth Gunther Kent. For many years, Bart was the proprietor of several businesses' on Martha's Vineyard. Bart is survived by one son, one daughter, two sisters, three grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many special friends. A memorial reception will be held on Tuesday evening from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Riley Mortuary, Inc., 110 Division Street, Amsterdam, New York.
