Best Currency to Bring to North Cyprus

We always suggest to our friends that Sterling is the currency they should bring with them on their Holidays as they can usally get a better rate of exchange for Turkish Lira here in North Cyprus.

What would you suggest be the best currency to bring to Northern Cyprus? Have things changed, would the Euro or the Dollar be a better currency for holiday makers to bring to North Cyprus with them and should they also have a little Turkish Lira on them for the start of their hols?
