NY State’s Shooters Committee On Political Education [S.C.O.P.E.] invites all firearms owners or citizens to attend an organizational meeting and election of officers to form a new Saratoga County SCOPE Committee.
The meeting will be held on Thursday, March 24th at 7:00 pm at the 4H Training Center located at 556 Middleline Road in Ballston Spa.
SCOPE is a not-for-profit, Civil and Constitutional Rights Organization dedicated to the preservation of Our Second 2nd Amendment. We were founded in 1965; and are a 100% volunteer, grassroots organization.
Our state organization consists of county chapters who work on a local level. We provide local and state legislators and executives with timely and accurate information to help them make sound decisions on firearm-related legislation.
We fight and oppose any legislation that infringes upon the Civil and Constitutional rights of firearm owners for the purpose of promoting a political philosophy, advancing a social agenda, or as an emotional response that is not based on Constitutional grounds.
We inform members about pending anti-gun legislation. We educate the public and politicians on the positive aspects of firearm ownership, and the importance of the Second Amendment.
I would be interested in talking to someone who would help coordinate a similar meeting in Washington County for the purpose of organizing a SCOPE committee in the county.
