New show electrolyte for Pigs

TOP SECRET

Electrolyte therapy for sick and stressed animals has been around the livestock industry for many years. Their purpose was to help replace vital cellular fluids lost due to dehydration. Most of these have been salt based products with bicarbonate of soda, potassium carbonate, and magnesium oxide. Eventually vitamins and trace minerals found their way into these products with very little short term benefits. These formulas buffered the stomach fluids causing some change in microbial populations in the gut.

Recently, newer research has led to development of acidified formulas that are dextrose based. The absorption of nutrients is improved as well as a reduction of harmful bacteria in the gut. With the introduction of POP-A-TOP, we saw some amazing benefits in show animals. They were more tolerant to heat stress and seemed more resilient to feed manipulation around shows. It has great flexibility of feeding either wet or dry.

Top Secret is the next generation of electrolytes for show animals. It can be fed as a dry top dress or mixed into water. Testing has proven the benefits of ingredients it contains. When mixed with water and set for a few minutes before feeding, it thickens. This slows the rate of passage, allowing more time for the proper digestion of feed. Animals on restricted amounts of feed feel fuller and more satisfied. The ph of the water mixture is close to that of the stomach fluid. Cellular hydration is rapid and longer lasting because of added protein sources. In addition to regular use, it has a show day feature that will add dimension and definition to muscles. This super hydration of muscle fibers is temporary, but dramatic in appearance. After a short time, the body will equalize the hydration to normal levels with no harmful effects to the animal.

Safe to use on all show animals

Feeding directions:

For dry top dress, feed 2 ounces per feeding.

For wet feeding, mix 4 ounces per gallon of water.

Show day:

Mix 16 ounces in 1 gallon of water. Give at least 16 ounces of this mixture, 3 hours before show and 1 hour before show. Feed no additional electrolyte on show day.

For late day or evening show, offer water every 2 hours at 16 ounce rate until 3 hours before class. Then follow this schedule. Make sure to water within 1 hour of champion drive. For more info www.finalsecret.com
