seniors
and so another year goes where we lose our great seniors. each and every one of them has made a great contribution to this band and now there will be a hole which we all need to fill. this years seniors are filled with some of the most talented people i know. i can personally say that a good bunch of the seniors have made some sort of impact in my life. all of them are unique characters. ill miss the class of 07. good job and good luck to all the seniors. yes, even frank. |

i can also say that the seniors have had a major impact on my life. my marching band experience so far would not have been the same if it weren't for the class of 07. While it's true that i've gotten to know some of you more than others, i will miss you guys all the same. the seniors are all very talented musicians, and you've all made important contributions to the band. good luck with everything

egan's right. no matter who was before us or who comes after us, we're here now. those of us that really dedicate ourselves to the band are rebuilding a program that almost became nothing. ten years from now, who knows? maybe this program will be the biggest thing in north brunswick, maybe it'll be gone. but we have to make the difference now. if we make this program better now, it'll be that much harder to tear down ten years from now. the seniors that are leaving now are helping with that, and so will the seniors next year, and the year after that, etc etc

this thing just keeps on going. peace, the grinch, the seniors, the directors, freshmen, band parents, i'm not sure if you get it. regardless of what happens their are those who dedicate themselves to marching band. they make memories for a lifetime for themselves and all those around them. people who don't get it can make fun or play along on some lower level, whatever it doesn't really matter. at the end of the day, the band is bigger then any of us. it was here before we got here and it will be here when we've all gone away. at least we can say that we were here when it needed us most. we saved it when even the USSBA thought we we're finished. the district already resigned itself to a pep band in the stands,(no marching). (imagine how it feels when every other band takes the field and you sit there in the stands. your only purpose to cheer the football team.) we can say that we built it back up. we made it something worth while for those who come after us. what they do with it is up to them but it will keep going. go ahead, mock it, it doesn't matter we know what we've done here. we did what others failed at for 10 years straight before us. any half wit can follow a rant with a rant. almost twenty years after the decline of an organization that has given most of you your circle of friends and a place to perform we are bigger then ever. what have you done to make this a better place to be. high school can be miserable without a place like this. trust me it almost happened. |

I was wondering who would take over starting the thankyou to the seniors. Thanks boys and girls for recognizing us in all our splendid glory, but egan's right: we're done. It's all yours now. We wish you all luck and know that you will make the best of however many years you have left with this band. Thank you. Have a nice day PS - hahaha, i remember the grinch. good times that was. |
