Ruby's 2005 tour
Ruby arrived at the quiet market town of Pocklington on 12 June, and lifted the roof with a barn-storming performance that had the entire audience on their feet and dancing. This had to be one of the best live performances ever seen in Yorkshire -- not just from Ruby and her band, who are going from strength to strength, but from any singer. It was simply awesome. Ruby had been singing with Jools Holland the night before, in London, and many singers would've wanted a quiet evening after that, but Ruby gave the audience 110%, and brought the house down. A power like this can't be stopped! Some singers peak early in their career, and then slowly fade away, but the truly great get better and better -- and that's Ruby! Her current tour is recruiting hundreds of new fans - I'm one of them - and you should make every effort to see her.

And here's another new recruit who agrees with all of the above. She has the most amazing singing voice I've ever witnessed and singing some fantastic songs. I've been lucky enough to see her live 3 times and the experience is mesmerising, soul music at it's very best. |
