Some additional info on Amanda Bratt/Brott/Weatherwax
Her mother may have been:
Charity Bratt b:c1796 in New York.
In USC 1850 for Center Twp,St. Joseph co Indiana Chartiy Brat is listed with out a husband as head of household children include:
John Bratt-26-m-laborer NY
Amanda Bratt-18-f- OH
Henry Bratt-13-m- IN
Francis Bratt-11-m- IN
Dwell 870,fam:870,lines 1-5
Note that Amanda Brott or Brat first indicates in USC1860 she was born in Ohio shortly after her marriage to Andrew which supports this being the correct Amanda Brott or Bratt. In USC1870 she is widowed and indicates place of birth as Indiana, again tending to support her families presence in Indiana. And fineally in USC1880 she indicates she was born in New York, in this USC she was a domestic and the enumerator may have taken data from someone else.
