Coming to town

Questions about East Aurora!
Hello, My family is very excited to be moving to East Aurora from Ithaca, NY. We have been so excited to find a town like East Aurora in Western NY! We will be moving in June most likely. We have a 23 month old son and 2 month old daughter and I would like to find a really good Pre-School program for my son to attend next fall (he will be 2 1/2 then). Also I would like to find out if there are any other baby/toddler classes in or around town that people attend (Kindermusik, gymnastics, library story time, etc.). My husband will be working at M&T in downtown Buffalo. We do not know anyone in town actually so we are hoping to get any advice you have and possibly meet people with same age children or similar interests! Thank you in advance for any information!

Welcome! Just about every traditional pre-school program in town starts at age 3, but there are certainly some day care programs that offer half days, few days a week, etc., that people use as a substitute for pre-school before age 3 here. Fisher-Price Community Nursery and Duck Duck Goose are two, I think there is also one called Kinder Castle. There are lots of Toddler Programs through both the East Aurora Library and the Explore & More children's museum in town. Music With Mar is terrific here, too (that's like Kindermusik, for ages infant through 5 or so), and it is offered Tuesday or Wednesday mornings out of the basement of the First Presbyterian Church. It goes all year round, but in the summer she usually cuts back to just one class on Wednesday mornings. East Aurora is a wonderful place to raise a family - you will love it here!

Correction - that third daycare is called Children's Castle, not Kinder Castle.
