National Champion??
Did you all know that we have a national champion ballroom and Latin dancer right here in lil ol EA??? Her name is Barbara Bradley, and she will be competing for the world title in November. I met she and her family at the Iacono ballroom a few weeks ago. Barbara is only 14 years old. But to see her dance you'd think she was 25. I just thought this would be a nice positive post about one of our own going out and really going after it. So to Barbara, congradulations, and good luck in the up coming competition. Suz.

Hi Susan, We remember you. Thanks for the nice compliments. Just a few updates. Barbara competed for the world title this past year, and got 4th place in the finals. In a few days, she will be competing for the 2007 national championship title in Orlando Florida at the USDC (United States Dancesport Championship). This is a very large competition, and the competitors need rankings to be eligible to enter. Barbara will be competing in juniors, and (for the first time) in adults, as there is some overlap in the age categories (Barbara will be 16 in October). We are looking for a win in the juniors, and a very strong showing in the finals (possibly even a win) in the adults. Starting on October 11, and continuing every Thursday night until February, Barbara will be teaching ballroom dance for the East Aurora adult education program at Parkdale Elementary school in the stage area. If you're interested, sign up with the adult ed program. Barbara will probably finish the program with a "dance night out", where the students will get to showcase what they learned, and Barbara and I will probably have a showcase of our own. Hope to see you guys soon - and keep on dancing - The Bradleys (Amina, Barbara and Jim)
