Power failure and water ban
So, we are switching to the county's water system to save a few $$'s; WHY? Doesn't the mayor know what a mess the county is in and now during this county emergency most of the residents don't or didn't have water and have/had to biol the water because it is/was not safe! But not in the Village. Yes, we were a bit low but we survived and the power was off for about 8-12 hours but we've been tru worse. Thank you NYSEG. Thank you to the village water department; and NO THANK YOU to county water!!!!!

FYI Concerned taxpayer, the village is already is provided water by the county, water comes in from the county, and is provided to us, the village is merging the SEWER, the water ban here was simply a pumping problem due to power outage, If the county countinued to also be out of power at their pumping stations we would have lost water anyways, as they could not get our lines water. |

Okay; then why will we be billed by the county, and why will we have to contact the county instead of the Village? If it sounds like a county it is a county, no more will we be able to go to village hall to deal with "our" friendly village employees but we'll have to deal with the county! Anyone know a county employee water and sewage employee? |
