Track Accreditations
Hello All, Just to remind you that we have two specific c/ships coming up later in the year speciifcally for vets. The first is our National C/ships under the duristriction of cycling ireland and that is run as a four event Omnium, which would include the sprint, 500m TT, 3km pursuit and and a 12k scratch race. The next event is a new obe run by the IVCA which will have all the same disciplines, but each run as seperate events nad futhermore split into age categories. Between now and those events any vets wishing to participate would have to come down to Sundrive road on a Saturday to under go a track accreditation, which is basicallylearning how to ride a track bike safely and takes about 2 hours. dont worry if you havent go a track bike, we do do have hire bikes available. Come along and join track regulars Terry Cromer, Edddie Dunne, Alec Darragh, Paul Dolan, Eddie Lynch, Aidan Ryan, Damian Long, and Keith Lambourne but to mention a few Regards Hugh Byrne 086-3488708 VETS NATIONAL OMNIUM TRACK C/NSHIPS – Sat 30th Aug Eamonn Ceannt Park, Sundrive Road 10am sign-on for racing @11am sharp – Medals. Vets Accreditation 23 Aug 2008 @ 10:30 AM We be running an accreditation / training / refresher day with Vets in particular in mind as both the National Vets Omnium C/ships and the IVCA Track C/ships are just around the corner. Other categories also welcome . We have plenty of track bikes but bring pedals if you use anything other than Look Delta. Please note though cleats must be in good condition as a pull out on a fixer is more serious than pulling oot on your road bike. 16 Aug 2008 @ 09:30 AM We also will be looking for volunteers to be accredited by our new track coaches as part of their course next weekend (16th August). If this suits meet at the back gate of Sundrive Road at 0930 on Sat 16th Aug so that we can sort you with a bike and be ready to roll when the Park opens.
