Majors most helpful to future elephant keepers

Hello all!

My name is Ashley Berry and I am a student at Colorado State University. I hold an AAS in Zookeeping Technology and am now pursuing my bachelor of science. I would just like some recommendation as to what field of study would be most beneficial to me as an elephant care professional. I am aware zoos say that an animal or biology related degree is appropriate, however I would like to know if certain majors are preferable. Currently, I am a zoology major. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Ashley A. Berry
