Thanks for your posts, as always!
Responding to them in reverse order.......
I have to say that the look I generally noticed was one of bemusement! It was if they 'sort of' recognised the train, but weren't quite sure! But, of course, there were the usual 'This Train is not in Service' notices in the door windows, but it certainly did get a lot of people having a look in through the windows whilst stopped at each station.
As to service dates, no, I didn't get a specific on that, but I think that I've managed to get some good and enthusiastic contacts from within the team, so - hopefully - I'll be able to glean some more information soon. Rest assured, as soon as I know, I'll let everyone know.
On a point raised earlier about 'Train 3' I was able to find out that this is 'in work' at Dery, but of course it is the first train that is being converted there, and they're still on a learning curve. So its delivery is still some way off. But again, as soon as I know the word will be spread! |
