Yes, I agree that perhaps the dot matrix displays could have been larger, but I think it should be remembered that the refurbishment is being done to a budget and that there have been some compromises made from what might have been regarded as 'ideal' had the trains a longer life expectancy than is currently planned.

I have some further information on this, but before 'going public' I want to get the OK to go into further detail - I hope I'll be able to expand very soon.

The PEA low level handles is an obvious concern - and I think everyone I've spoken to accepts that although in principle correct, in practice will result in accidental activations. It's a fact of life, I don't think it will be changed at this stage of the programme, and I think the resulting delays will have to become an accepted occurence. A heads you win, tails you loose scenario!
