I just wanted to comment on the team spirit of the Western Football Club. I have played for various teams over the last 15 years and have never witnessed such a well run, organised and committed bunch of boys. I don't want to single out individuals, but those of us that are involved in the club, know the hard work that is put in by various people. Having previously been a club secretary myself I know it can be a thankless job. The commitment shown by players on and off the field is tremendous. You only have to turn up for a training session to see this commitment, with over 22 players turning up every Tuesday and Thursday. This commitment is then shown on a Saturday on and off the field. You will often see the entire team still in the Western late into the evening on a Saturday discussing the game over and over again. With the new season close, all the boys can be proud of their hard work in pre-season and I'm confident that we will have an excellent season this year. |
