Me and My Shadow
Today I'm Feeling Really Lost, Ya know Feeling kind of bent.. Like I turned a corner.. but don't know where I went? It's Like I've lost my shadow.. and don't know what do do.. It's like I've turned a corner and my shadow turned it too.. but my shadow went a different way A different way than I, and now I've lost my shadow.. and I'm about to cry. I can usually call up a smile no matter how dark things are.. I can usually look at the sky and somehow see a star.. But this time..the sky is dark no stars ..and all is black. My shadow turned the corner and I need my shadow back. My heart feels lost and broken I feel my poor heart bleed.. and shadow won't come back to me, no matter how I plead.... ©mary jolly zayas 2005 |
