Message:   I finally managed to make a SCRATCH pound cake that actually turned out excellent! This is my mom's birthday cake - White chocolate amaretto pound cake torted with IMBC and strawberry puree.

Seems that I was not beating the sugar/butter mixture long enough. 8-10 minutes seems to be the magic time frame. My previous "flops" may have been due to only creaming the sugar/butter for a couple minutes.
