Message:   Ok, it's about those soccer ball cookies again. If I just want to "draw" the design on with a food pen or other "nontoxic" pen, how long does the icing need to dry?

I tried to do this last week with the teacher appr. cookies and a few times the icing cracked and then the color bleeds some at that point.

What's the best way to "write/draw" on the cookies and how long ahead do I do that all?
