Ever wonder . . .

Has anyone seen the 20/20 report back from 2005? Was it just me, or did the actions of Jodi's producer seem a little odd? Can't recall her name, but she was the party that notified police and was the last person to actually talk to Jodi. A few of her answers to the interview questions seemed contrived, and strange. Did the police ever check phone records to see who else was called from the station that morning? I just can't help but wonder, if Jodi was late, how would someone know the approximate time she would be leaving her apartment, unless they were tipped off by someone? Perhaps I'm reading too much into it, but something just didn't settle with me while I watched her producer talk about the case.

Re: Ever wonder . . .

i feel bad about my last post...im sure that her friend/coworker had nothing to do with her dissapearence, but i was curious as to why no one was worried sooner...especially if jodi had made remarks about being scared for her safety at earlier times.

Re: Ever wonder . . .

You shouldn't feel bad about your post. I totally agree. I know what it's like to oversleep, but when you're in that line of business, that's more than oversleeping. Besides, didn't she live like five minutes from the station? The response the producer gave, about always wanting that job, but not wanting to attain it that way. Something just didn't seem right.

Re: Ever wonder . . .

I watched the 20/20 revisit last night from 2005. I want to agree with the above. I thought that the producer seemed...off. I am not sure that her interviews would make me belive that she had somthing to do with Jodi's dissaperaece, but I do think that she seemed very akward and uncomfortable. Which normally i wouldnt think to much about, except that she is an anchor women and her job is to be in front of the camera.
will this case ever be solved?

a hunch

She may have been abducted by a man, late 20s or early 30's, driving a somewhat older blue van. The inside of the van had the seats removed and it was dirty inside.. like some trash, possibly some faded red rags in it. He was wearing a blue tshirt, dark hair (kind of short hair), and had not shaved in several days. He is chubby, overweight, but strong.
He is somewhat of a loner, quiet, lives outside of town behind a wooded area. He took her there but didn't leave her there. Her remains are not far from his place and he occasionaly still visits them. Her body is buried, but not deeply, and is covered with leaves, a log, and in a wooded area off of a trail.
He took her because he knew he would never have her or anyone like her any other way. He hasn't taken anyone since because "he still has her" but lately he is thinking about another one.

I thought the same exact thing. I thought I was alone in thinking that.

Re: Ever wonder . . .

WE Network will re-air the 20/20 program:

Vanished 4 Tuesday, November 18 at 3pm | 2c

Jodi Huisentruit was a rising young anchor in Mason City, Iowa, with dreams of making it big. But she never got the chance. One early morning, on her way to work, Jodi disappeared. Was it someone she knew, or had one of her fans gone too far? It’s a story about the dark side of fame.

I wish this program was available on YouTube..I too would like to view Amy Kuns responses to questions asked.
I would also be inclined to see news broadcasts of Amy on air right after the fact, as well as future broadcasts she anchored.

Many questions arise about the CNN Nancy Grace interview Amy did, air date 8pm May 9, 2006..the timeline imparticular seems contrived and contradicting in my opinion.

WUWM Exec.Prod.Milwaukee Public Radio - Mitch Teich stated that "The morning she went missing, Jodi actually called into her Mason City TV station to say she was running late for work".

Can this be proven?
Were all the phone records to the station, from the station, Jodi's residence checked??

Re: Ever wonder . . .

I order the 20/20 VHS several years ago. I went to the ABC web site and ordered it. I imagine anyone could do that. Maybe they have it on DVD now. It might be worth getting... Also, I would love to get a DVD of all the segments Josh and Gary did on the Jodi files...

Hey Josh, think about it and if you do make a DVD I am willing to buy a copy. You did an excellent job on it.
