bad judgement

anybody else think that the Globe Gazette's decision to publish Jodi's journal was in poor taste?

not bad judgement

The Globe Gazette's publishing a few excerpts from Jodi's journal at the time of the 13th year of her loss was an excellent move.

Occasional positive media coverage is necessary to keep her case before the public since they are our primary source of information.

I was also glad to learn that Jodi had a good time at her 27th birthday party, enjoyed that last water skiing trip to Iowa City and that she, "simply loved", her new red sports car.

Re: bad judgement

did jodi's family only learn what is in her journal from the news? i would think the family would have the rights to this journal and make any decision what part of it is published. maybe it is even copyright protected.
Wondering

Re: bad judgement

I agree with zoro. I would think that her journal would be copyrighted (either officially meaning legally or jusr said) by her family since there are still members of her family living. I also think that they would have to give permission for what is allowed and not allowed to be published.
