Anniversary of Jodi's abduction
For many of us former residents, neighbors of Key Apts and Jodi, this is going to be an long night. I know I never sleep the night of the 26th/27th, because I am thinking of what I heard or didn't hear that night 13 years ago. I met Jodi's sister and mom, when they were cleaning out her apt in Sept. 1995, such nice people, who have had to deal with this. I hope and pray that this is the last anniversary with closure for her family and that Jodi, will get "home" God bless her family and everyone helping to keep her memory alive, so that they can find whoever did this, but more importantly find her and get her home. |

My husband used to live there "unofficially" with his former girlfriend. He was out of town when the abduction took place, but says that he believes someone was watching her because he noticed beer cans near his car for at least two or three days before her disappearance. Since he wasn't technically living there, and his former girlfriend was afraid she would get into trouble for him being there so she never told the police he lived there, he was never interviewed by the police. I sent them an email on her 10th anniversary (because he was talking about it with me for the first time in detail), but they never responded back. I hope they find her someday. |

That's kind of a shame...if they could have tracked down those beer cans they might have yielded some evidence...DNA profiling probably wasn't too sophisticated then, but it might have proved useful now. I feel sort of bad saying this because it's not really fair to be judgmental and I don't know all the circumstances...I also understand that people's fears do legitimately prevent them from coming forward with information in these cases. Still, I can't help but think I'd be more afraid of a kidnapper and possible killer on the loose in my neigborhood than of someone possibly finding out my boyfriend slept over...you know? |

We read that some residences heard a woman scream and yell out a name about the time of Jodi's abduction, We would like to know if anyone who did hear the name can tell us what it was as it may jog someones memory of an acquaintance of hers even someone she recently met. If it was Jodi then she possibly knew the person. Also it has been stated that a black pick up was seen on several occasions in the parking lot prior to her abduction similar to the one she feared was following her two weeks before she disappeared. Did anyone ever get a plate number off of that truck even a partial? |
