Re: Wondering
Dustin Honken and Angela Johnson don't know anything about Jodi's abduction and murder.
If they did they wouldn't be where they are now.

Re: Wondering
I will try and explain this with a real world example:
In August of 1994 Robert Leroy Anderson and his good buddy, Glen Marcus Walker, kidnapped a attractive blond from the parking lot of a Sioux Falls, SD industry late one night. They then raped and murdered her.
In July of 1996 Robert Leroy Anderson single handedly kidnapped another attractive little blond from her home in rural McCook County, SD. She came to the same end as did their Sioux Falls victim. Anderson was arrested within 24 hours.
Anderson wouldn't talk but SD DCI soon found out that he was often seen with Walker and 'talked' to him. Walker turned states evidence (also known as; rolled over, flipped, ratted out, snitched and squealed) on his good buddy and took DCI to the grave of their Sioux Falls victim.
Anderson was sentenced to death but Walker only got 30 years which in South Dakota means only 15 years so he will be out in 2011. Anderson on the other hand was found hanged in his cell at the SD State Pen in 2002. It was clearly a suicide.
What is to be learned by this is that if one does nasty to cute little blonds they can't trust their friends.
More specifically if Honken and Johnson knew who kidnapped and murdered Jodi they wouldn't be where they are and waiting for what is going to happen to them.

Re: Wondering
I dont think i totally agree with 'thecat'. (johnson ratted on honken and she still got the death penalty because 2 kids were also murdered) so if they were involved in jodys abduction..i doubt one would get alighter sentence if one ratted on the other. They both would still be where their at regardless.

Re: Wondering
That isn't exactly what happened.
Illegal drug linked homicides usually become federal cases. Following their arrest by the FBI for the murder of 5 people in Cerro Gordo County, Iowa in 1993 Dustin Honken was held in the Federal Supermax in Florence, Colorado and Angela Johnson in the Federal Jail in Waterloo, Iowa.
Angela Johnson was convinced by another prisoner that he had links to organized crime and could provide hit men to silence a number of witnesses to their crimes. In reality this person was a professional informant. He also convinced Angela that he needed a map of the burial sites of their 5 victims.
Apparently Angelina also believed in the Tooth Fairy and the Easter Bunny because she drew the informant a reasonably accurate map of the 2 graves which were located Southwest of Mason City. The informant then turned the map over to the FBI who brought in their recovery team which recovered all 5 victims.
Angela was an accessory in these murders. Under Federal Law an accessory to murder is just as guilty as the primary participant. Angela had traveled to Waterloo, Iowa where she purchased a 9 mm Tech-9 machine pistol in a pawn shop and this gun was used in the murders. She had also lured Terry Degues, Greg Nicholson and the Duncsans to their deaths.
Honken and Johnson had nothing to lose in attempting to have their death sentences commuted by aiding in Jodi's case but didn't know anything about the case. They are both now on death row in the Federal Penitentiary in Terra Haut, Indiana awaiting execution.
He who flips first flips best but he has to have something to flip with. Angela and Dustin just didn't have anything.
