Casual observations and questions

Just ran across this site while doing some net surfing today. I remember when this all happened because it was on the national news and I was stunned to find out that it's been like 12 years since Jodi disppeared. I've read most of the info regarding her disappearance. As a person who doesn't know anything about the case except what I've read, I just have some observations and questions. If some other people have brought this stuff up, I apologize but I just didn't see it on here.

-women who are victims of assault/murder/kidnapping most often know their attacker. It's a higher percentage than most people would think. "Random acts" are not as common as most people think.

-did her friend name his boat, "Jodi", before or after she disappeared? If it was before. . .and they really didn't have any sort of intimate relationship. . .does anybody know what her reaction to that was? Was she creeped out by it like I think a lot of women would be? Guys just don't go around naming their boats after women who are just their friends. . .unless there is something wrong with the guy. If it was after, was it right away or was it once it was obvious that Jodi was definitely missing?

-Was this the first time Jodi had ever slept in and left for work late? If this is not the first time, could this be an indication that there were things going on behind the scenes that maybe nobody knew about? What I have read about her, she seemed like a very conscientious girl but I only know what I have read. Sleeping in, missing work, etc. can be signs of personal problems of many different kinds.

-On the other hand, if this is first time in the months and years she worked at the station that she had slept in, what kind of coincidence is it that that particular morning is when she disappeared? What kind of criminal sits or stands. . .whatever. . .in a parking lot, in the rain, in the fog, at night and waits for their victim. . .who is a hour and a half late!!!?? That sounds like one determined, fixated, obsessed criminal or criminals.

-it wasn't mentioned by anyone here I don't think but don't newscasters, reporters, etc. get a lot of fan/hate mail? Have any of these letters and cards been researched. . .especially from people who have sent multiple times and ones with no return address?

-did security at the station ever have to turn anyone away that was asking to see Jodi?

-I know that it is Iowa and not New York City. . .but was she working on any particular story at the time where should would have been stepping on toes or running into the wrong people?

-her friend said she sounded cheerful and happy. Why would Jodi call a friend so late at night if Jodi had to get up for work in less than five hours. . .if she had gotten up on time that is? Was it common for her to work on so few hours of sleep? This is probably nothing but it just caught my eye.

-it says that the key was turned in the lock. But then it says her car keys were strewn around with her shoes, etc. Does that make sense or is that a typo? Or did she also have the extra set of keys on her?

-did anyone check her wardrobe to see what was missing? Would the red shoes have matched what she might have been wearing when she was abducted?

If anyone has any answers or additional opinions I would love to hear them. In addition, I feel for Jodi's family and hope at some point they get the answers that they seek, with the additional hope that Jodi is still alive and comes back to them some time very soon.
