Why so quiet?
Last night got more than little personal and I regret that. I took a few shots at Steve that were not fair. I apologize. But we are all big boys and girls, and this type of work requires a thick skin. Cindy, despite her false information and bad intentions, did manage to unwittingly inject some life (a lot of life, to be honest) into this message board. This board should be the last place anyone has to worry about “political correctness”. Any and all ideas, theories, or opinions should be allowed as long as they are presented in a responsible way. Judging from the all the posts I’ve read, I believe we are completely capable of “policing ourselves” in this respect. I strongly believe the “banning of Barry” was a mistake. He was an individual who, according to Josh, worked at KMIT. He very likely could have served as a source of inside information, if it was only gossip and scuttlebutt. I realize he wasn’t very receptive to working with us but we might have been able to change that with time. Good investigators don’t “shut out” people who can provide important information even if we don’t like their tone or opinions. |

As I stated on another thread, if anyone wishes that I leave this board “for good”, feel free to say so. I can understand if I’m not wanted here (I am a Johnny-come-lately) and I’m ok with that. And Steve, once again, I apologize. I was out of line and I really did read all your posts. Keep up the good work. |

I'm still here and I was wondering (no pun intended) why it is so quiet here. Actually, I am glad someone else has posted. I have a question. Are there missing posts? I mean because I did see a post from someone about Jodi's case and now it's gone. Or am I seeing things? None the less, it was an interesting post and they person claimed they have solved Jodi's case. Saying she was a victim of someone and that same person that killed her also killed four or five others. He/she also claimed that Jodi fit the description of the other victims (all were women and blonde). Now, I only saw this post once so forgive me because I can't remember all the names. But the killer was named Keith. And two of the victims names are Pam and of course Jodi. Dang memory..... Anyway, I know it could also have been a "fluff" post. But I just want to know if anyone else saw it. |

In reference to Wondering's question about missing posts. I have recently deleted threads created by Mr. McIntyre. He has been banned (yet again) from Findjodi.com. His messages will be removed from the message board and the guestbook. Bill --- Okay, I'm back. Actually, I have been lurking the last couple weeks, but haven't had the heart to post. I got really burnt out after the last tipster and I think others did as well. I still feel as though we are very close to finding Jodi. I never met Jodi, but lived in Mason City during the time of her abduction. I knew some of her friends and cannot imagine what they and her family have gone through over the years. |

Why is everyone so down in the mouth about this Cindy EXPERIENCE? Take a good look at what she said and read between the lines. Re-read what statements were made after the fact. Doesn't anyone else see everything that was said isn't as it appears. What was right was wrong, but what was wrong may still be right. |

I think it is because she gave everyone some hope about the case. I mean hope to finally find out what actually happend to Jodi and also the hope that it would give closure to Jodi's family after all these years. |

That is not what I meant! She got her story from somewhere other than a sick imagination. Not all that may have been right was wrong, but what was wrong may still have some right in it! We all need to explore the truth, even if it is conjecture. Discuss what may have been the truth and what was made up. |

All this talk reminded me of a woman who said a man she met confessed he was with a few men who killed Jodi and burned her body. I think it was at a hog confinement farm South West of Mason City, I think. She told the police about it and the man was questioned. The story sounds so similar to Cindy's story, but it did come from another source. I think there was a Bill something investigating it. Is that the same Bill who posts on this site. If so, is there any information he can share? |

I really believe this message board was effectively shut down after “Cindy’s” pathetic, obscene, and bogus story. Nobody with a once of common sense would have believed this woman’s story but some media outlets jumped on it because they were desperate for ratings. So this is what this site has become, not a forum seeking to solve this crime but rather a lame tool to generate ratings for a small town television station. We have stood by while the “founders” of this site have censored and banned posters. Yet these same bozos were all too eager to broadcast “Cindy’s” ridiculous story on the 10 o’clock news during “sweeps”. What pigs! There you go, Josh. Ban me, I’ll take an honor, coming from you. You don’t like the heat, so instead of getting out of the kitchen, you watch it burn down. |

Enough with the Media Bit
The frustration seems to have gotten to even our most frequent visitors. Bill, you clearly can't handle the swings. If you followed this case like most of us you'd realize the majority of the time it's slow. You visited in the "heat of the moment" much like the other 20,000 visitors we got when the latest tip was announced. Where were you last December, January when it was awfully quiet? And Bill, why the hell would I want to promote a station that used to be my competitor? I'm in Arizona now for crying out loud. I'm glad you've got it all figured out. Gary and I have worked this case for years. We put information out there when it comes to us. It's a source of information. Yes, we work for the media - different stations, different states. We promote stories on the case from ALL MEDIA OUTLETS. What would we have to gain from running this information? We even pay for this site ourselves...and with the help of very dedicated members who believe in the site and the case and are willing to toss us a few bucks. I see you haven't offered up a nickel...I know it's a lot to ask. You used to be a decent visitor,Bill, offering up interesting information and getting involved in discussions. You've clearly flipped over this whole media theory. I don't usually respond to messages, but you don't leave an email so I'm forced to do this on the board. I'm not banning you. I'm asking you not to come back. You're working against us...and we don't want you. Go cry foul on some other site while we go through some slow times in the case...I'm sure we'll see you back here - excited as can be - when the next lead comes in. |

Have you ever talked to Inspector William (Bill) Basler? That's the name of the man who was investigating the report about a man who claimed he had a date set up with Jodi on the day she disappeared. Anyone ever heard from him about Jodi's case? There are similarities in the two stories. The first one surfaced in 2002 and had common elements in it as with Cindy's story. *************** As far as Cindy's doctor coming forth with her story.... he must have thought there was some truth to it or he would have never told police about it. He would have been crazy to report it if it was just crazy talk. |

I personally never heard of this Cindy thing. Some people do have visions and dreams that come true, it can drive a person crazy. They are not always on one hundred percent and often come disguised as something unrelated or in bits and pieces. They are also not always true, but sometimes, pieces of them are. Is this what she was claiming? Not everyone has dreams that come true, some people laugh at those that have. I know I have. But sometimes you cant discern which dreams are real and which ones aren't. Is this what this Cindy thing is all about? |
